這位與Wood吵架的，應該是Robert Brenner
一位重要的馬克思主義歷史學者
十幾年前有所謂The Brenner Debate
是針對西歐從封建過渡到資本主義這段歷史嬗變的辯論
也出了一本就叫做The Brenner Debate的論文集
他現在在UCLA的社會理論與比較歷史中心
（Center for Social Theory and Comparative History）
任教。他這傢伙據說異常凶悍，脾氣火爆，
Wood惹上他可真倒了楣了。
