Tim McGraw has teamed up with a teen phenomenon — no, not Taylor Swift. This
time, he’s in with Chris Brown, 19, Billboard’s artist of the year for
2008. Their collab is called “Human,” and Brown says, “It’s incredible. I
wanted to do something more along the country line. That’s a bigger and
different audience for me.” But pairing up with non-country singers isn’t
new for McGraw. Remember his unlikely duet with rapper Nelly, “Over and Over
”? Then that “Nine Lives” thing he did with Def Leppard? No word on
whether they’ll send this single to country and/or urban stations or when “
Human” will be actually released. But Brown did hint that he might “go away
for a little while” before he comes back. So it looks like we may have a bit
of a wait. And hopefully, it will be a worthwhile one.
