Eddie Montgomery of Montgomery Gentry has been diagnosed with prostate cancer
and will undergo surgery in December, he confirmed Thursday (Nov. 18). "I
will be back in January ready to rock for all the fans," he said in a written
statement. "Please keep my family and [me] in your prayers." Montgomery
Gentry are in Canada for shows Thursday in Orillia, Ontario, and Friday (Nov.
19) in Windsor, Ontario. They return to Nashville for Charlie Daniels' annual
Christmas 4 Kids concert at the Ryman Auditorium on Monday before completing
their 2010 concert schedule with a Dec. 4 show in Charlotte, N.C. They're
scheduled to resume touring in February.
