[問題] what is 分隔島 meaning in taiwan?

When a street was design for cars instead of pedestrians, it might be too
wide for pedestrians to cross through before the traffice light changes.
Finally, they built some 分隔島 in the middle of the street so that the
pedestrians can have a stop and wait for the next green light.
My question is,
do you call such things 分隔島 in taiwan? or some other names?
