CHICAGO (TICKER) —The Chicago Cubs on Friday agreed to terms on a one-year contract with outfielder Reed Johnson, avoiding arbitration. Terms of the deal were not disclosed. Johnson, 32, was signed by the Cubs after being released by the Toronto Blue Jays in March and batted .303 with 21 doubles, six homers and 50 RBI in 109 games. Johnson, who hits righthanded, is expected to platoon with lefthanded-hitting Kosuke Fukudome in center field next season. He is a career .284 hitter with 135 doubles, 48 home runs, and a .344 on-base percentage in parts of six major league seasons with the Blue Jays and Cubs. -- ※ 發信站: 批踢踢實業坊(ptt.cc) ◆ From: 218.171.141.102
