CHICAGO (TICKER) —The Chicago Cubs on Tuesday agreed to terms with Japanese righthander Ken Kadokura on a minor league contract and invited him to spring training as a non-roster player. A former teammate of Cubs right fielder Kosuke Fukudome, Kadokura is a 13-year veteran of the Nippon Professional Baseball League. Kadokura, 35, has gone 76-82 with a 4.36 ERA in 302 career games with the Chunichi Dragons (1996-1999), Osaka Kintetsu Buffaloes (2000-2003), Yokohama Bay Stars (2004-2006) and Yomiuri Giants (2007-2008). Kadokura enjoyed his best campaign with Yokohama in 2005, going 11-8 with a 3.37 in 29 games, including 23 starts, while tossing four complete games and leading the league with 177 strikeouts. His lone Japan Series appearance came in 1999 with Chunichi, when he was Fukudome's teammate. -- ※ 發信站: 批踢踢實業坊(ptt.cc) ◆ From: 218.171.144.53
