[情報] Cubs calling up top prospect Baez

Cubs fans are about to feel the first wave of future Cubs talent, with
infielder Javier Baez set to be called up for Tuesday's game against the
Rockies.

Ranked the club's No. 2 prospect, Baez is a big part of a crop of homegrown
talent on the verge of making an impact in Chicago.

The 21-year-old was taken in the first round (ninth overall) of the 2011
Draft. He has spent the entire season with Triple-A Iowa, batting .260 with
23 homers and 80 RBIs.

Baez was ranked behind third baseman Kris Bryant in the organization, and No.
5 overall in baseball, according to MLB.com's Prospect Watch. With shortstop
Addison Russell ranked seventh overall, the Cubs have three prospects in the
top 10.
