It is unfair to critcise French's English accents like this.
If you do have some experience on both the languages, you will know even a
word sharing an exact the same spelling, the pronunciations
can be very different and even the syllable stressing.
Most of them, like everyone here, have a single native language.
It is very difficult to pronounce a second language, which to some extent
similar to their native language but actually different.

Same situation is also quite often when English people speaking French,
Japanese speaking Chinese, etc.
