Leyland said that with no more than one southpaw in the starting rotation, he
is open to having more than the expected two left-handed relievers among 12
pitchers.

Bobby Seay is a virtual lock, and other lefty relievers in camp are Rule 5
draft pick Kyle Bloom, Macay McBride, Clay Rapada and non-roster invitee
Fu-Te Ni.

McBride and Rapada have big league experience, and Detroit must keep Bloom on
its 25-man roster all season or return him to the Pittsburgh Pirates.
