According to FOXSports.com, the Tigers may be open to trading right-hander
Edwin Jackson this winter.
Jackson finished the '09 season with a 13-9 record and a 3.62 ERA over 33
starts. But the Tigers are facing a serious payroll crunch and would like to
unload one or two of their established players for some young, cheap talent.
"We're all aware that the economy is not the same all over the country,"
said Detroit GM Dave Dombrowski. "We've been hit hard in our area."
