標題[分享] Why Rondon Needs to Stay in Detroit

有鑑於Rondon今天又爆了~補上一篇熱騰騰五分鐘前Mark Anderson才post的文章
因本人還深陷期末地獄之中...暫時無法翻譯了...歹勢

可樂先生 to DL....恩恩...接著有時間再說一下他
他持續爆下去是不覺得他還能在老虎待多久
Paul mentioned this on Twitter during Rondon's outing today against the
Twins, and I think Paul and I talked about it on a Podcast that never
officially recorded (Thanks a lot, Paul! haha), but the struggles Rondon
is having in the big leagues is exactly what he needs from a developmental
perspective.
Struggles of this nature were not going to happen in Toledo, no matter how
long he stayed down there. It's really not a matter of continuing to polish
the slider or changeup. It's all about his ability to mix his pitches, dial
it back just enough to find the zone and finding a consistent routine that
he can rely on to get the ball over the plate even a little bit of the time.
That's not going to happen in Toledo. He can -- and will continue to -- blow
it by hitters in Toledo. Until he fails -- which he really hasn't done since
rookie ball -- he has no reason to change what he's doing; even if the
coaches say otherwise. Rondon is a cocky kid with an arrogant streak, attitude
issues and an ego that matches his big fastball. Failing like this on the
biggest stage will do one of two things....
1) He will actually work with Jones/Rojas/Sager to make the necessary
adjustments so he can succeed, or
2) He will turtle and fade into the ether and get chances here and there
because he throws hard and dominates Triple-A.
Frankly, I would rather the Tigers lose a couple of games in April/May to get
the message through to him than let him dominate all season, bring him up in
August/September and then try to figure this crap out.
My bet...failing right now means they have a useful, potentially dominating
reliever available to them down the stretch....
