FWIW, xorg 6.8 won't let you run threaded programs because they changed the weak thread symbols. http://chlamydia.fs.ei.tum.de/~corecode/uthread_fake.c this is a hack for libc(non -r) to carry these symbols themselves and thus not requiring this hack.
