If you help me identify TeX related ports... my attempt below. my system was fairly new with a handfull of unrelated packages from gobsd when I started. After a couple attempts of getting packages, I expeted this was the process of making an environment for building the the cvs-doc cvsup the following freebsd ports: ports-base ports-archivers ports-audio ports-comms ports-converters ports-databases ports-devel ports-editors ports-emulators ports-ftp ports-games ports-graphics ports-lang ports-mail ports-misc ports-net ports-news ports-palm ports-print ports-science ports-security ports-shells ports-sysutils ports-textproc ports-www ports-x11 cvsup the following dfly ports: cvs-dfports cvs-doc cvs-root cvs-src cvs-site cvs-ports pkg_add -vr sp jade tidy links cd /usr/ports/graphics/peps && make install cd /usr/ports/textproc/iso8879 && make install cd /usr/ports/print/teTeX && make install pkg_add -vr docbook pkg_add -vr dsssl-docbook-modular jadetex cd /usr/ports/print/teTeX && make install ....to generate error. Accept for discovering the port dependencies that wern't part of of my cvsup, deinstalling the port with error, adding the port section to the tree and reinstalling the failed package... I've not done much with this box. All that was per http://www.freebsd.org/doc/en_US.ISO8859-1/books/fdp-primer/tools.html#TOOLS-MANDATORY Now, I've cd /usr/ports/print/teTeX-base/ && make deinstall cd /usr/ports/print/teTeX-texmf/ && make deinstall cd /usr/ports/print/teTeX-latex2e/ && make deinstall cd /usr/ports/print/teTeX-texmf/ && make deinstall cd /usr/ports/print/teTeX/ && make deinstall (teTeX-latex2e and teTeX-texmf where not installed) cvsuped everything and used script to capture # script Script started, output file is typescript # cd /usr/ports/print/teTeX && make install same result, teTeX-install-typescript.bz2 attached. err, ....Mime-encoded programs may not be sent it's here, http://galis.org/teTeX-install-typescript.bz2 about 31Kb // George -- George Georgalis, systems architect, administrator Linux BSD IXOYE http://galis.org/george/ cell:646-331-2027 mailto:george@galis.org
