E.g. as long as you edit /etc/rc.conf and /etc/resolv.conf and maybe some more files with special "---- add your config after this line ---" wrappers, we can handle all the cases directly. If the user does change some files, she should get some support from the system to decide what has changed and wether she is interested. I currently don't have to time to write it myself, more than enough on the TODO list. Joerg
