In the Select Subpartitions step, in the Expert Mode view, there is now a "MFS" checkbox for each mount point. When the checkbox is selected, that subpartition is created as an MFS-backed filesystem on the system being installed. These filesystems operate in the same way as the read-write filesystems on the LiveCD itself. No disk space is used for these sorts of filesystems; they live in memory, and are volatile (their contents disappear across reboots.) /tmp is an obvious candidate. -Chris
