I have to say that I'm not really feeling comfortable with this commit. While it's true that several of those documents are outdated and historic there are some that still apply quite well and might be useful to get new users going more quickly (at a point before they have the source code, i.e. when booting from the LiveCD). Wouldn't it have been better to review them one by one and see what can be scrapped or not? Sascha P.S. Joerg told me that the reason they were removed was that groff is no longer needed in the buildtools then. While I see the advantages of this it feels sorta strange to have useful documentation removed to achieve this goal because it doesn't help the new user searching for documentation. -- http://yoyodyne.ath.cx
