The namecache work is starting to change existing interfaces and add
new ones, and some instability may result.
Possible forms of instability: memory leaks in the vfs cache or panics
due to lost reference counts, namespace confusion. I don't expect
any filesystem corruption, however, since the vnode subsystem is largely
being left intact.
