A club from Qatar was interested in getting
the Moroccan leader of the Deportivo defence,
until Tottenham Hotspur struck. Naybet signed
a contract until 2006 at the London-based
club, while Deportivo earned about €1,5
million.
Djalminha
-------------------------------------------
The years since Deportivo won the Liga in
2000 have been difficult for Djalminha at
Deportivo. He didn't play much and in the
season 2002/2003 he was loaned out to
Austria Wien. Recently both parties agreed
on cancelling his contract which was
supposed to end in 2005. Djalminha was free
to go and signed a contract at Mexican club
America.
Djorovic

Once he was considered to be among the best
defenders in Spain. But Djorovic even had
problems at Elche and wasn't welcome anymore
at Deportivo. His cloan out contained a
clause that his contract, running until 2005,
would be shortened if Elche would not buy him.
Songo'o

He was signed in 2003 to cover the position
left by loaned out Dani Mallo. But the
return of the young goalie to Deportivo
causes that Songo'o didn't was presented an
extention of his contract.
Amavisca

His contract would run out in June 2005 but
Deportivo had an option to cancel it by
paying a compensation. And they used it.
Racing de Santander and Espanyol are
interested in his services.

Ivan Perez

The brother of Alfonso has spent several
years on the bench at Deportivo and will
be released this summer.
