The Diamondbacks placed right fielder Justin Upton on the disabled list with
a right oblique strain and called up outfielder Trent Oeltjen from Triple-A
Reno on Thursday.
Upton hurt the oblique while attempting to steal second base in the ninth
inning of Wednesday night's game.
Oeltjen is hitting .300 with a .358 on-base percentage, .505 slugging, 27
doubles, 14 triples and 10 home runs for Reno.
He has 19 steals and has been caught eight times. The 26-year-old has never
played in the majors.
