From Elias: Ian Kennedy earned his 20th win of the season, allowing one hit
in eight scoreless innings, while striking out 12 batters in the
Diamondbacks' 1-0 victory against the Pirates. The only other major-league
pitcher since 1900 to register at least 10 strikeouts and give up no more
than one hit in his 20th win of the season was Warren Spahn, who threw a
no-hitter with 15 strikeouts against the Phillies on Sept. 16, 1960 for his
20th victory.
