對於Ryan Roberts最近的低潮，總ㄟKirk Gibson發表他的看法:
“I think he’s one hit away from being out of it,” Gibson said.
“I think he’s starting to relax more,” Gibson said. “Usually the way it
happens is, there’s not anything that’s wrong but there’s a perception in
your mind that something is wrong. It revolves around watching your batting
average, your results, or somebody makes a good play on you.
“Willie Bloomquist had an swinging bunt single and all of a sudden he was in
a great mood. You hit a bullet right to somebody and all of a sudden it’s an
0-fer. That’s the way the game works your mind. I just saw him overthinking
things and now I think he’s in a better place, has a better understanding,
is starting to believe in himself. Even though he’s not hitting, he’s
played his (inappropriate term) off in the field. He really has. Those things
are important.”
