[外電] Dodgers Trade Castaway Ryan Theriot To Cardinals

In a something for nothing trade, the Dodgers sent non-tender candidate Ryan
Theriot to the St. Louis Cardinals for right-hander Blake Hawksworth. It looks
like their was a big enough demand for Theriot the Cardinals were willing to
work out a trade to ensure they got their man.

Hawksworth, 28 in March, was originally drafted in the 28th round of the 2001
amateur draft. Heading into the 2008 season, Baseball American ranked
Hawksworth as the 20th overall top prospect in the Cardinals minor league
system. In 2010, his second season as a pro, Hawksworth posted a record of 4
wins and 8 losses in 45 games. He finished off the season with a 4.98 ERA with
a WHIP of 1.638, 3.5 BB/9, and a K/9 ratio of 6.1 in 90 1/3 innings for the
Cardinals last season.
