Jordan Rudess: "DT Is Full of Ideas and Energy About the Future"
In a statement posted on his personal blog, Dream Theater keyboardist Jordan
Rudess comments on the recent departure of the band's long-time drummer Mike
Portnoy:
"Closing this chapter is difficult because Mike and I are really close
friends, have been great musical partners and he has been a vital part of
Dream Theater. Still, opening up the next chapter is really exciting because
DT is full of ideas and energy about the future. Mike is the ultimate rock
drummer and I know he will be successful at whatever he does. Meanwhile, DT
is moving forward quickly and looking forward to creating some great new
music."
