美國在1897年成立的
陸軍第25步兵腳踏車軍(U.S. Army's 25th Infantry Bicycle Corps)
還有
英國陸軍在1908年成立的:

芬蘇戰爭的芬蘭軍中有"滑雪腳踏車隊",二戰法軍也有腳踏車單位......
瑞士陸軍目前仍有這個單位,而目前傳統延續最久的是瑞典本土衛隊,並且生產
