September 10 will live long in the memory of Dario Simic as it turned into a
double celebration for the defender. Not only did he celebrate his 60th
appearance for Croatia with a goal in the 2-1 defeat to Belgium in their Euro
2004 qualifier, but Simic became a father for the first time. He said: ‘The
birth of my son Roko brought me good luck and naturally I would like to
dedicate the goal to my wife. However, now I’ve got concentrate on the Bologna
game and continue this positive period.' As for the loss of the suspended Paolo
Maldini, Simic said: ‘Of course, it’s not the same without our captain but we
will just get on with it anyway

2003年的9月10號將永遠烙印在SIMIC的記憶中
不僅僅是慶祝他第60次代表Croatia出賽,在這場賽事中他也以一顆進球擊敗了Belgium
更重要的是,在這特別的一天,他迎接了他的第一個孩子Roko
他喜悅的說:Roko的誕生給我帶來了好運,我也把這個進球獻給我偉大的妻子
雖然我很開心,不過我必須專心的對付即將來臨的對Bologna的比賽,並且保持
良好的狀態
他也談到了這場比賽馬隊缺陣的感想,他說:隊長缺陣雖然很遺憾,可是我們仍會全力以赴
