Kanchelskis clinches Saturn switch
Former Russian international Andrei Kanchelskis has signed for Russian
Premier League side FC Saturn Moskovskaya Oblast on a six-month contract.
Dynamo departure
The 35-year-old winger left FC Dynamo Moskva in March for a breach of club
discipline having agreed a one-year contract only two months earlier.
Kanchelskis has not played since parting company with Saudi Arabia champions
Al Hilal in May 2003.
Varied career
Kanchelskis made his name at Manchester United FC, spending four seasons with
the club and winning two Premiership titles and the FA Cup. The much travelled
Ukrainian-born winger also played for Everton FC in England, Scottish side
Rangers FC and AC Fiorentina in Italy as well as Ukrainian clubs FC Shakhtar
Donetsk and FC Dynamo Kyiv.
