這是95年淡江財金研究所入學考的考題
Alice's utility function is U(X,Y)=29XY. She has 12 units of good X and 6
units of good Y. Caro's utility function is U(X,Y)=5X+2Y. Carol has 8 units
of good X and 13 units of good Y. We can conclude that
(a)Alice prefers Carol's bundle to her own, but Carol prefers her own bundle
to Alice's.
(b)Carol prefers Alice's bundle to her own, but Alice prefers her own bundle
to Carol's.
(c)Each prefers the other gal's bundle to her own.
(d)Each prefer her own bundle to the other gal's bundle.
(e)None of the above is true.
王吉吉老師是說這題答案是(e)，理由是因為不同個體之間效用是無法比較的。
可是Varian的Test-Item File(seventh edition)裡的解答給的卻是把X,Y的值代入
再比較哪個效用大去作判斷...
我問學校的老師老師也是說加一加就可以比了~"~
我的看法是 這是由於站在不同的角度看的緣故嗎？
我猜是「計數效用」和「序列效用」的不同
可是Varian不是不推「計數效用」嗎？
煩請各位高手們解惑了orz
