The ruling K-M-T suffered yet more loses
in yesterday's council speaker and
deputy speaker elections ... with party
spokesman Su Jun-pin saying the losses
are "prices the party has to pay for its
reform efforts."
Two of the 10 candidates nominated by
the K-M-T in the 17 city and county
councils were defeated .. and three of
its eight deputy speaker candidates also
lost.
The main opposition D-P-P only won one
deputy speaker seat in yesterday's
elections.
