[文法] 一個after與時態的句子

有兩句很相似的句子想請教一下


(1) John won the game, and the cheerleaders were crazy about him.


(2) After John won the game, the cheerleaders are crazy about him.


請問這兩句在文法上或是在動詞的時態上有錯誤嗎

→ nthui:可是第一句用were 不就表示 "現在" 已經不對他著迷了
