  請問是 I heard the door broken in by the theft.
    還是 I heard the door being broken in by the theft.

    ???
  還是其實兩個都可以,只是一個表示動作的進行,一個表示事實的發現?

推 arrojo0412:都可以啊，前者表事實，後者表進行
→ chenzhishun1:i'd only use the latter, but i'd change "theif"

→ xWadex:通常第二句不會單獨出現..應該會有前後文來比較時態
