in the war,was ruined by arthritis.                                                   ^^^^

 ",wounded"是 ",which is wounded"變來的嗎,但非限定關代不是不能省略嗎?

In time,he found himself graying and wearing looser pants and
in a state of weary acceptance,that this was who he was and
who he would always be,a man with sand in his shoes in a world of
 mechanical laughter and grilled frankfurters.

that關代前面不是不能有逗號嗎?

→ noruas:空格要放在標點符號的後面,不是前面.. @@"
→ noruas:可以寫成 ,which was wounded, (前後皆有逗點)
→ noruas:省略掉 which was 更簡潔
→ noruas:第二句 that 不是關代, that this was...是名詞子句
→ noruas:是 find 的受詞. (He found that this was who he was..)
→ dunchee:"非限定關代不是不能省略嗎?"->你記/搞錯了 用Google找
→ dunchee:"reduced relative clause"
