標題[請益] on/at the farm 到底哪個介係詞才對？

版上大大們好：
前兩天幫小朋友改作文，他們有一句 "Bob is going to be at the farm in October."
我經過查證之後發現 "on" 好像比較多人用，所以就給他改掉，結果害他錯了被扣分，真是罪過
但是.....
1) Cambridge 字典
# It was hard work on the farm but satisfying.
# The fertilizers and pesticides used on many farms are polluting the water supply.

且我用 google UK 限定在 UK 範圍，下去搜尋 "be on the farm" 和 "be at the farm"
兩者得到的結果為 121,000 和 54,800 個網頁
結果顯示，在 UK 使用 "be on the farm" 的次數是 "be at the farm" 的兩倍多
之所以不用 google 不限區，是想說會有很多非英語國家的使用也會被納入搜尋，恐怕結果有失公允
所以就限定在 UK 大英帝國範圍，來做這兩句的比較
可是他們的中師和外師討論過，還是決定用 "at"
請問一下這是和 美式/英式 英語有關嗎？
還是本句 Bob is going to be at the farm in October. 就是要用 "at" ?
