(以下句子出自於遠東高中英文第二冊第3課)
The reason why I like walking is that it is convenient.
這裡的why是關係副詞，
why I like walking 修飾先行詞the reason
而why也可以換成 for which
可是我想請問，why可以用that替換，變成
The reason that I like walking is that it is convenient.
這裡的that應該不是關係代名詞吧~
那它在這裡到底是什麼呢???
如果說 that I like walking 是 the reason 的同位語，
那麼 that 應該不可以省略吧
可是課本是寫 why 跟 that 都可以省略
我不知道 that 在這句話裡的解釋
又另外再請教
The reason I like line dancing is that it is easy to learn and
I don't need a partner.
請問 I don't need a partner 前面可以再放一個 that 嗎?
就變成
The reason I like line dancing is that it is easy to learn and
that I don't need a partner.
that 子句當主詞補語用，後面第二個、第三個主詞補語的 that 是可以省略的嗎?
