而是"透露"
所以名詞子句的動詞配合主詞whale即可
而根據此句的時態為過去式suggested
所以用were

: (B)The king ordered that the criminal put to death.
: (C)The teacher recommended that each student to read the novel.
: A:(A) 這題語法不是 S+insist/order/recommend +S + "原V"?
: 為什麼答案是(A)?
insist/order/recommend + S + "原V" 時的意思是"堅持/命令/建議 某人 做...)
而答案(A)用 "he was" 那是因為這裡的insist不是"堅持 某人 做..."
而是 "堅持某一件事情" (that名詞子句帶出來的這件事情)
所以裡面的動詞也是配合主詞即可
至於(B)應該要改成 "be put"
(C)應該要改成 "read"而不是"to read"
