[文法] in doing sth

有看到一個句子

The ability is only one facotr of the many he weighs

in deciding whether or not to give.


請問

其中 "in deciding ..." 的文法是把in當作時間副詞的方式嗎?


不知道這種用法是文法的哪一個部份?

→ noruas:原波是不是有打錯字?  應該是 weigh (動詞)
→ noruas:he weighs .... in deciding whether or not to give.
→ noruas:(他衡量...就"決定是否要給予"一事)
→ noruas:weigh something in doing.... (in 表示做某事時)
