by hand 的用法，可以包含「手算」嗎？

例如： This formula is I derived by hand.

這個公式是我用手算得出的

這樣人家看的懂嗎?

如果換成 This formula is I derived by pencil and paper

這個公式是我用紙筆得出的
這樣會比較好嗎?

→ noruas:(或是直接把pen and paper當副詞用,就不用加with)
→ hoch:其實 by hand 這種寫法一般也看的到。我覺得更大的問題是，
→ hoch:This formula is I derived ... 這是標準的中文式英文。
→ hoch:如果簡單的翻譯你的中文：I derived the formula by hand.
→ hoch:精確反映你的中文：I am able to derive the formula by hand
