[單字] 含有二選一概念的連接詞

我現在想要表達一種二選一的概念

如：

這家店有賣飯跟麵
你如果點麵的話，上菜時間是5分鐘
"另一方面"，如果你點的是飯的話，上菜時間則要10分鐘

這邊的另一方面要用那個連接詞單字比較好呢？

又或者

When case A occurs, we will have a.
When case B occurs, we will have b.

我要如何強調只有A與B兩種選擇呢？

不知道可不可以用 on the one hand ..... on the other hand 來表示二選一的概念嗎？
(我查字典 這組連接詞 是用在前後相反對比的句子上 用在這邊 似乎不太適合？？)
