新高。一些菜市場和超市發現，蒜頭零售價多在1斤9到13元之間。

price of garlic in front of street vendors. The price of it was over 9 NCY a
catty, which is more expensive than pork. 「I give up!!」 In the market the
local media even found that the price was over 13 NCY a catty which hit new
high in a decade.

The main cause of garlic price rise this year was output decline and
cultivation cost rise, many wholesalers told to南方都市報. In the next place,
the increasing exports and decreasing domestic sales volume of garlic
compared to former years were also the reasons of garlic price rise. In
addition to cultivation cost rise, the main reason of raising price of
garlic, transport cost rise also had influence on garlic price.

It was understood that the main producing area was山東and江蘇. Economic
growth, cost rise of insecticide and fertilizer of these places and the
natural disaster in northern China led to garlic price rise.
