[請益] hit the book 為什麼要用hit?

在看BBC Learning 的The Flatmates

第33秒的時候Helen說：

" Yes but I need to study. I'll do the shirts...
...phone the landlord about keeping the cat
and then I'll hit the books."

我上google查了一下沒看過這個用法耶！

為什麼要說"hit the books"呢？

hit的意思很多

在這邊要表現的是

開始唸書？
討厭卻要去唸書？


有負面的意思在裡面嗎？
