想求助高手 可否幫我看下列句子中if的結構
Although he had doubts about this theories, Darwin,
the father of evolution, was certain of one thing:
the process of adaptation to change in animal kingdom
took place over very lengthy time scales and therefore was difficult,
if not impossible, to observe first hand.
如果把if not impossible 拿掉我看得懂
但是插入後 就看不懂了
我會看成 因此則很難,如果非不可能,去作第一手觀察
一整個打結了
