※ 引述《cofetea1234 (賣奶茶的大叔)》之銘言: 2.Olny when I am at home. (A) i do feel at ease (B) i feel do at ease (C) do i feel at ease (D) do feel i at ease 我選A 答案C 不懂 感謝回答 想要請問一下 priv:除非Only是直接限定主詞,就不用倒裝 08/12 16:22 priv大這個用法是什麼意思 有哪個高手可以給個例子嗎 http://ppt.cc/XmY; 另請問上面這個google論壇裡面關於這個only放句頭的用法討論 Mike Lyle在最後一則回覆的時候我看不太懂他的意思 Only now, though, does it occur to me that "usually" isn't restrictive enough to cause inversion; but rarely would I put that at the beginning anyhow. 這裡面的這段that "usually" isn't restrictive enough to cause inversion 是什麼意思阿 謝謝 -- ※ 發信站: 批踢踢實業坊(ptt.cc) ◆ From: 115.43.226.172
KittyStan:Only you can come in 這裡的only就是在限定煮詞 08/12 23:03
xpower50:那想請問這個外國人的句子是什麼意思呢 08/13 00:12
dunchee:"usually"這個字不像他舉的only/rarely那樣子放在前頭的話 08/13 00:19
dunchee:後頭的句子就要倒裝 08/13 00:19
dunchee:restrictive指的是意思表達上的限定 08/13 00:20
That's right: only when the "limiting" word, phrase, or clause comes at the beginning do we invert. Only now, though, does it occur to me that "usually" isn't restrictive enough to cause inversion; but rarely would I put that at the beginning anyhow. In real life, of course, I'd rarely put "rarely" at the beginning. 他的整篇回覆是這樣 那他後面不就應該是寫In real life, of course, I'd rarely put "usually" at the beginning.才和前後文嗎 ^^^^^^^ 還有上面都沒有人問到usually阿 MIKE MORGAN的第二個問題不是問說 That's what I thought, however some time ago I came across a sentence with a non-inverted (can I say so?) order and reached for a book on English grammar to check it. There I saw: "Notice that inversion CAN occur after a clause beginning with only after/if/when..." So CAN does not mean MUST, does it? Anyway, if you and some others are surefire about it, I will stick to it for good. Thanks and regards. 他不是在問倒裝是MUST還是CAN嗎 回答不就牛頭不對馬嘴 謝謝K大跟D大 ※ 編輯: xpower50 來自: 115.43.17.47 (08/13 00:39)
priv:台灣的文法書會告訴,你有否定意味的副詞放句首要倒裝 08/13 09:35
priv:另外就是only這個比較特殊的副詞 08/13 09:35
priv:usually不屬於這兩者 08/13 09:35
