than the idea they can't help themselves and need the chattels
of government to help them.
我想請問中文的翻譯是怎麼樣呢....
當把貧窮的人在首位時，
沒有更大的欺騙是認為他們沒辦法幫自己並需要政府幫他們??
in the heads of 是片語，但這裡意思是不是
put the needy as priority ?
為了方便大家解答，我把那一小段上下文也放上來:
There is no greater deceit to put in the heads of the needy, than the idea
they can't help themselves and need the chattels of government to help them.
Jesus said, "Follow me--My yoke is easy and my burden is light"
The government says, "Sacrifice your dignity and self-respect and we will take
care of you"
(耶穌說:跟從我，我的軛是容易的，我的擔子是輕省的
政府說:犧牲你的尊嚴和自尊，我們將會照顧你)
There is a big difference in the result of putting your trust in God and your
trust in the government.
請問最後這句in the result of 是只結果，還是導致呢??
我只知道以這句話想表達的是:相信神和相信政府有很大的差別
但我覺得翻不出這句話的意思...
請板上的朋友幫我解惑一下
