你文字的意思可能理解的不夠精確，所以中文翻出來很怪...
這裡leaves不是「離開」而是「留下」。
例：
He left this world leaving his three year-old son alone.
他離開了這個世界，遺留下他三歲的兒子。
leaves its path strewn with ruin.
直翻就是，在他經過的路徑上留下了許多殘骸。
