最近讀了一本吳炳鍾老師的<英文Q&A>
在書本剛開始介紹idiom的時候
突然理解為什麼我自己的英文閱讀能力總是進步有限
因為有些idiom的單字我都理解
就算看不懂, 查字典就可以了
但是湊起來就是無法理解@@
例如....
at 6 and 7 (亂七八糟, 意見不一的意思)
by the skin of his teeth (差一點點就不能...了)
head over heels (翻筋斗, 或有"完全地"的意思)
to right and to left (就是everywhere的意思)
what are you getting at? (質問對方做了某行為的原因)
all-around或all-round (多方面, 多用途的)
隨手上網查書 輸入idiom dictionary
才知道原來idiom也有自成一格的字典群!!
請問大家有推薦的idiom dictionary嗎? (特別是當代的)
