今天看的新聞"Can Japan profit from its national 'cool'?"

裡面一句

"Consumers from Asia, Europe and the United States might not be buying as
many Japanese cars and TVs, but they continue to be influenced by Japan's
culture."

為什麼不用 might not buy就好?

→ hansi:語氣比較不強烈，比較客觀    (猜的)
→ king8889:可以順便問 buy為啥做vi 加as 一般不是直接接受詞
推 noruas:buy 的受詞是as many Japanese cars and TVs
→ noruas:後面省略了 "as before"
推 pentimento:might not be buying 不就是現在進行式嗎？
推 Justlan:我覺得是語意,像後面有CONTINUE 所以表示的是一種持續性的
→ Justlan:用進行式感覺還蠻順的 雖然我講不出正確文法><
→ soloprince:同樓上，應該是呼應continue的意思...表持續性的的方式
推 scuhans:簡單來說 be going to = will
→ scuhans:語氣上面多少有差 這邊有例子

→ requiem:用較長的表達法去表達揣測，而非斬釘截鐵下斷論的語氣。
