[文法] 空英一句

[LeonYo (僕は美味しいです)]

空英本月有這麼一句

Sometimes the things we believe are

holding our families together really aren't.

我的理解是：(Sometimes) [the things]
              頻率副詞     主詞
 (we believe are holding our families together) (really) [aren't.]
          形容詞子句                             副詞       動詞

所以形容詞子句裡的結構原來應該是

we believe [the things] are holding our families together.

這是我目前唯一能想到的解法，但覺得怪怪的地方是

we believe [the things are holding our families together.]

應該後面整個是名詞子句作為believe的受詞，

能夠只把the things作為先行詞，而剩下的部分變成形容詞子句嗎??

或是本句文法其實另有他解??
