標題[請益] 幾個克漏字的問題

今天補習班考完模擬考，有些題目有疑惑
清明節連續假日間沒有老師可以解答QQ
麻煩各位大人幫忙解惑(跪
In the 1920's, farmers in the Midwest were looking for a new crop.
They wanted a food crop that was full of protein and oil, and could
grow well in their area. They discoverd the soybean, a nutlike bean
that was first _(1)_ in China. Today, soybean-based products are often
used as substitute for meat and other foods.
That is just one example of how research has led to a change in people's
diets. Scientists are looking into new plants with _(2)_ names like
tarwi, winged beans, and buffalo gourds.
By the year 2000,experts also predict that the human diet will have
more variety. There are thousands of different kinds of plants, animals,
and fish on earth. People are used to _(3)_ only a few kinds, however.
(1)answer: grown
選項有:grown uncovered sold caught
我選uncovered，不明白這題為什麼是grown 是先試種在中國的意思嗎?
(2)answer: unlikely
選項有: unfamiliar unknown familiar unlikely
我是選unfamiliar unlikely字典查到的意思是 "不太可能的、靠不住的"
不懂這句的意思QQ
(3)answer:eat
選項有: eating eaten eat 和 have eaten
我是選eating 依照老師教的應該是ving阿~
問了同學，同學卻說她一律都選RV~ =口=
結果我們越討論越亂 哈哈

還有一題單字我覺得怪怪的
It is [imperative] that patients with mental illness take the drugs
regularly to avoid high-risk situation.
題目是問[]中的單字可替換成哪個單字?
我選vital 答案卻是excessive
同學有查到excessive有極重要的意思(不知道她哪裡查到的)

我有個外文系的同學認為第三題是+RV耶
她說因為是>> 然而，過去人們只習慣吃一小類
現在不是了，所以她覺得是用eat沒錯
昨天討論後有點越討論越亂的感覺XD
