"這盞燈由五十六片平板與螺栓組成"，主要結構到這裡完整
逗號後面是補述用法，省略which is，文意上是對the lamp提供額外資訊
事實上,which is 應該要直接擺在修飾對象的旁邊比較不會造成混淆
但是因為它後面的附屬子句太長了，所以作者把它擺在整句之後
這不是很正確的用法，會以為在補述screws
anyway,這個補述用法為the lamp提供了額外的資訊:
The lamp is without an internal skeleton. 這盞燈是沒有內骨架的
為什麼沒有內骨架呢? 這邊又加了一個due to要說明原因
但是這個用法是錯的，因為我們在後面看到了一個完整子句:
rounding forms plaques form gaps through which light passes.
rounding forms plaques= plaques of rounding forms作主詞，圓形的飾板
rounding forms plaques form gaps. 圓形的飾板形成溝槽
什麼樣的溝槽呢?於是後面又加了一個形容詞子句
gaps "that light passes through."
介係詞不放句尾，所以變成 gaps through which light passes.
due to 是片語介係詞，後面本來應該只加上名詞或動名詞
所以原句的due to改成because或since比較恰當
綜合以上整句翻譯是這樣:
該燈具由五十六片平板與螺栓組成，因為圓形的飾板形成了可以讓光通過的溝槽，
所以沒有內骨架在燈具裡。
