The reason I came here asking for suggestion is for me to fulfill a
project requirement in my Toastmasters club.

This project is from a manual called "Interpretive Reading"

2. Interpreting Poetry
Time:   6-8 minutes
Objectives:

‧To understand the differences between poetry and prose.
‧To recognize how poets use imaginary, rhythm, meter, cadence and rhyme
  to convey the meanings and emotions of their poetry.
‧To apply vocal techniques that will aid in the effectiveness of the
  reading.

My assignment is to select, analyze, plan, rehearse, and
present a poem by reading it in front of the audience.
Prepare an appropriate introducion of no more than 45 secs.
Use the voice to convey the mood, meaning, and emotions of the poem.

Since my club is a campus club, the members are from different departments.
So it's better for me to select a poem as easy possible.
It's ok to provide the audience with the text, since they might not be
familiar with literary works. No further explanation on the poem is needed
except the opening 45-minute introduction.

Please feel free to give me suggestions.
