[請益] 介係詞of與to之區別

[legusta (Guten Tag!)]

  一直對英文介詞的of與to總是搞不太清楚

  像  桌子的尺寸  英語翻作 the size of the table

  這時候"的" 是of  但有些時候"的"卻是翻成to

  Ex.房子的鑰匙  英語翻作 the key to the house

  想請問版上神人  中文介詞 "的"  何時該用of? 何時又該用to?

  兩者是否有文法上的差異呢?  還希望大家不吝賜教 ^^"

推 stan90203:key to應該是特定用法吧 像the way to
→ bilingualism:我的理解是key 不是house不可分割的一部分,所以用to
→ bilingualism:還有:音樂會的票 the ticket to the concert
→ dunchee:不要只看"of/to"(就算是中文的"的"也不是只有單一意思/用
→ dunchee:法，比如"站在那邊的人"--裡頭的"的"你要如何解釋？(用中
→ dunchee:文。先不要去理會英文 --- 如果你真的要用中文來學，那麼
→ dunchee:至少要會分辨我們自己中文的這種細微意思差異)
→ dunchee:基本上就是1樓說的。學會看整個phrase，比如:

→ dunchee:(特別是the key to the lock -> 延伸到the key to the
→ dunchee:door(其實是指門上的那個lock) -> the key to the house(
→ dunchee:這時候也是指可以開鎖的那個門/有lock的鎖鏈/...等等，只
→ dunchee:是直接講... to the house方便多，同時這也是慣常表示法
→ dunchee:如果你真的很心養很心養想知道這情況下的"to"的意思，那麼
→ dunchee:http://www.thefreedictionary.com/to  (一個個的對，總會
→ dunchee:有符合的) 不然就簡單/省事的直接記"the key to the lock/
→ dunchee:door/... (整個記)
→ dunchee:(Longman online有加註些字樣，我只能猜是英式用法，為避
→ dunchee:免原PO霧煞煞我就不引 Longman)
